The key to protecting against food allergies is to avoid the
trigger food. It is not easy because it may be hidden as an
ingredient in something else.
  • Most bakery items are made with eggs and nuts just like cakes and
    cookies.
  • Water-packed tuna may contain nonfat dry milk.
  • Soyabean oil may be used in salad dressing.
  • A hot dog may contain milk protein.
A good way is to read labels of every food before use. If you have
a food allergy, you should be familiar with these general terms and with
those specific things which they include.
